A Bicycle Love Affair

When I look in the mirror, at this very instant, I see a 40 year old guy with glasses, receding hairline and an oh so slight pudge 'round the middle. The majority of my daily wear jeans are a wee bit too tight. Shirts that used to look pretty good? Now, well, they may not look so good anymore. I am the heaviest I've been in 22 years, way back when I was a freshman in college.

While I am dabbling in bicycles again, I am also taking a trip back to my very first real obsession (besides girls and Dungeons & Dragons): photography.

This Saturday I decided to go out for a long ride.

As we tried to teach Adam to ride a bike without training wheels. "What happens when you aren't there to save me?", he asks. "You have to learn to save yourself." is my answer. In reality I guess that's what we are trying to impart on him. It isn't about the bike. It is about standing on your own two feet.
